Terms of sale
These terms govern purchases from GAO Group Ltd ("we", "us", "the studio"). typeart.co.uk is a trading name of GAO Group Ltd, which is registered in England & Wales, company number 16981887, registered office 3rd Floor, 86-90 Paul Street, London, England, United Kingdom, EC2A 4NE. 1. The contract
An order is an offer to purchase. The contract forms when we confirm your payment, which we do by email with your order reference. All pieces are made to order.
2. Your artwork
You warrant that you own or are licensed to use every photograph and text you supply, and that they do not infringe anyone's rights. You grant us a limited licence to process them solely to produce and deliver your order. We may decline content that is unlawful, defamatory or obscene, in which case any payment is refunded in full.
3. Proofs
The digital proof is produced with the same engine and settings used for engraving; composition and text are exact. Physical engraving in acrylic or anodised metal renders tone, sheen and scale differently from a screen — such character is inherent to the craft and is not a fault.
4. Price and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling, inclusive of any applicable taxes, plus delivery as shown at checkout. Payment is taken in full via Stripe when you order.
5. Personalised goods — cancellation and returns
Your piece is made to your specification and clearly personalised. Under Regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 it is exempt from the 14-day right to cancel, so we cannot accept cancellations or change-of-mind returns once production has begun.
This does not affect your statutory rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If your piece arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, contact us at hello@typeart.co.uk within 30 days of delivery and we will repair, replace or refund it (a full refund where a fault is reported within 30 days).
6. Delivery
We dispatch by tracked UK courier. Estimates (currently 2–4 working days' production plus 1–3 working days' transit) are given in good faith but are not guaranteed. Risk passes to you on delivery; title passes on full payment.
7. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise our liability is limited to the price of the affected order.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
